Sandra Dean, 72, passed away Monday, April 24, 2017 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford.
She was born on May 8, 1944 in Dover, Delaware, daughter of the late Clinton and Betty (Wine) Wooleyhan.
Sandra was a graduate of Caesar Rodney High School, Delaware State University and Widener University School of Law.
She retired in 2010 as the Office of the Public Defender serving 19 years and went on to open her own law firm, Sandra W. Dean Law Office in Camden. Sandra had also served for many years in the elected position as Register of Wills for Kent County Delaware.
Sandra was affiliated with Immaculate Conception Church, Marydel, MD, Board of Directors at House of Pride, Inc. and also Harvest Years Senior Center.
She is survived by her loving husband Donald Dean, three children Mark Dean of Lewes, Beth Kerly (Gary) of Tampa, FL and Debra Trotman (Steve) of Manassas, VA and four granddaughters Emma Kerly, Lauren Kilbourne, Erin Wiltse and Emily Trotman, sister Jan Shotwell and a sister-in-law Janice Wagner.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 noon, Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St., Dover. Burial will be private at Lakeside Cemetery, Dover.
