Rosa May Peterson

Rosa May Peterson, of Dover, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, June 29, 2015, in her home, surrounded by her loving family.  She was 88.

Rosa was born May 19, 1927, in Enfield, N.C. to the late, Tom & Bessie Wiggins. She was a devout Christian, accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, in 1958, under the leadership of Elder J.C. Kelly,  

at Christ Holiness Unto the Lord, , in Harlem, NY.  Later she attended the Lighthouse Deliverance Church in NY where she belonged to the mothers board, and also the ushers board.After relocating to Delaware she joined  New Beginnings Family Worship Center in Milford, DE;  and became the mother of the church there.  When she wasn't at church, she enjoyed crocheting,doing word find puzzles, catalog/book order  shopping, and spoiling her grandkids.

In addition to her parents, Rosa was preceded in death by 3 daughters, Mary, Myra, and Hazel Peterson.  She is survived by 4 children, Carolyn Fox, and

Louetta Peterson, both of Dover and Joseph & Ivery Peterson, both of Frederica, DE. 23 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and several great-

great-grandchildren; and a god-son Tyrone Brown, of Brooklyn, NY; and a god-daughter, Evet Jones, of North Carolina.

     Funeral Services will be held 2pm, Saturday, July 11, 2015, in New Beginnings Church, 212 N.W. 4th Street, Milford, DE; where family and friends may view 2 hours before. Burial will be in Mt. Holiness Memorial Park, Butler, N.J.  on Monday , July 13, 2015 at 1:00 pm.
