Grammy, I do not thing anyone will ever understand the bond we shared. I love you so much and miss you every aching day that passes. I fear myself a lot at times bc you're not here and ik you wont be. But it's almost like rn I can hear your voice correcting me and your hand on my shoulder while telling me I'm wrong and that you're always here. What will I do w out you now? I wanted you to speak at my wedding. I need you so much. Help me. I need to feel you again. I miss you.

Thank you Ms. Joan for all of your kindness and love for the next generation. I met Ms. Joan at church not too long after giving my life to Jesus. Excited about serving God, I was looking for any way to serve Him. At the time she was cleaning the church weekly and invited me to help her. She always made me feel like I belonged. We exchanged airline stories, stories about Japan, she was always a listening ear, and someone I trusted for Godly counsel.
She had a never ending supply of hugs that were given freely to anyone that crossed her path.

You are greatly missed. But I know you are with Jesus that you love so much. I hope you are continuing to paint in Heaven. Please show us around the art gallery when we get there.

Joan, my blessed friend, You gave a whole new meaning to "Best Friends Forever!." The best thing about our memories is that they never spoil, no matter how old they get. Our loss is heaven's gain.

Joan was a good woman who loved family, friends, her church, animals, her garden and art. She courageously fought cancer and had a positive attitude throughout her illness. I imagine her romping with Sadie in heaven!!

It was sad to learn of Joan's passing. I remember her as a wonderful classmate with a ready smile, great personality and friendly words. I am sure she will have a preferred place where she is now.

We have so many memories of Joan, but I think one that is most special is the times when she and Doug and Mary Joan would come to our house at Christmas time. We would share treats and then sit around and sing together. Such beautiful harmony. Well, my friend, you are singing in heaven now. I can only imagine how beautiful those sounds are. We will see you again.
