Walter John Masgay

Walter J. “Skip” Masgay, of Felton, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, November 15, 2015, in his home, surrounded by his loving family.  He was 81.

     Skip was born, July 20, 1934, in Plymouth, Pennsylvania to the late. Walter & Frances(Kertulis) Masgay. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Masgay.

    Walter served proudly in the United States Army, and had spent most of his life working in the glass industry as a salesman. Skip enjoyed traveling, the beach, amusement parks, hiking, cycling and nature. He had volunteered with the Peninsula Athletic League, and at Annapolis High School Sporting events.

     Skip is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret(Walker) Masgay; 2 sons, Richard Masgay & wife, Donna , of Riva, MD; and Ronald Masgay & wife, Cathy, of Edgewater, MD.; a daughter, Melissa Masgay, of Felton, DE; 4 grandchildren, Amber, Chayton, Ronald, & George Masgay; and a sister, Barbara Angle, of Solomons Island,MD.

     A  Memorial Mass will be held, 11 am, Friday, December 4, 2015, in St. Lukes Episcopal Church, of Eastport, 1101 Bay Ridge Ave. Annapolis, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963 or to Meals on Wheels c/o The Modern Maturity Center, 1121 Forrest Ave., Dover, DE 19904.
