Preston. I am so sorry I missed the funeral. I was away with my grandchildren. I feel blessed to have seen you the week before at the hospital and wanted to be sure your heart was right with the Lord. You have been such a special friend to me. We met at the VA when you came home from the war and have remained a caring a loving friend all these years. A gentle giant with a big kind heart is the way I will always remember you. I called you on Monday the 22nd and you finally were able to answer the phone but could not talk. I hope you understood that I was sending prayers your way and loved you. You were a special person. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to see your mother, but my thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time. Love you buddy!

We are so sorry to hear of your loss of Preston. He always brought a smile to my dad and brothers when we worked for dad's lawn service in high school. He continued his friendship with all of us over the years and often checked in on my mom and her health. Friendship and help such as Preston's are not easy to come by these days. We will all miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.
