We have lost a very dear friend. Ann and Don are dear friends from more than 50 years. Leon and Don were college roommates at The King's College and that began a friendship that has continued though miles have separated us. Don loved his precious Ann dearly and we know why. She was a sweet, caring, Christian lady who loved her Lord and loved and served all who knew her. Her homegoing is sad for us but for her it is the fulfillment of her anticipation to spend eternity with her Lord.

Dearest Cathy and Marc, I watched the ups and downs in your mom's health while staying with you in Florida. I, along with all of Grace Church especially our small group study at Nick and Susan's, prayed for a miracle knowing full well that Ann and Don could not live alone safely here in DE.

My prayer now is that your dad is adjusting to life w/o his precious Ann, and that you and your daughters have peace knowing that Ann is celebrating with those who have gone before to live with our savior, Jesus Christ.

I had heard almost daily about Don and Ann Zimmer when I worked side by side at MMC with Cindy Clark (I never had met them). They were the closest of friends with Cindy and Pete thru the Gideons. Then in August of 2014, I started attending Grace Church, and met the lovely couple I had heard so much about! Attending small group with them, gave me an opportunity to get to know them better.

May God bless you as you care for ur dadā£

Our deepest condolences- Anne taught my girls Sunday School so faithfully and cheerfully when they were little. She was a beacon of light and love in our community. We will be reunited one day!

Dear Don and Cathy,
I always loved being around Ann! She was a beam of light and welcomed us and our children so kindly to your home! We always enjoyed being with you all- whether playing in your great yard or looking at your miniature Christmas decorations. She was so proud of her grandchildren and daughter and son-in-law. Her warmth, kindness and compassion I will always remember and try to pass onto others. I am so sorry for your loss.

I was saddened to hear of Ann's passing. She was a lovely lady! I worked with her at L F East Elem when she came to sub. I also knew Don as my 6th grade teacher at what was then Frederica Elem. Ann and Don as a couple were wonderful and giving people. You have my sympathy.

Don and Family,
I was very sorry to hear of Ann's passing. I worked with Ann & Don at Lake Forest East many years ago. Ann always went out of her way to be kind to everyone. She was a gracious lady and a wonderful person.
Warm regards,

Dear Don and Family,
Ann holds a special place in my heart. She was such a dear friend and I admired her resilience, her faith in Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior, and most of all her grace. Ann always focused on others, and never herself. She served with a servant's heart in her ministries at Grace, and inspired many. She leaves a legacy of love behind, and I miss her.
