Major Dave was so special! When I first started at YCI he helped me so much as an advisor, supervisor and later as a friend. Always providing his excellent advice and always with a touch of humor. Major Dave you will be greatly missed by many. I send all my prayers to your loving family.

Dave always had a smile and funny story to tell, no matter how he felt. I was blessed to have served with you both in the Guard and will always remember those times fondly. We kept each other laughing at BayHealth cardio therapy with stories of the "good ol' days". I miss him. My prayers are with you and the family, Rose. God bless you.

Don't cry for me,
I will be okay.
Heaven is my home now,
and this is where I'll stay.
Don't cry for me,
I'm where I belong.
I want you to be happy
and try to stay strong.
Don't cry for me,
It was just my time.
But I will see you someday
on the other side.
Don't cry for me,
I am not alone.
The angels are with me
to welcome me home.
Don't cry for me,
for I have no fear.
All my pain is gone,
and Jesus took my tears.
Don't cry for me,
this is not the end.
I'll be waiting here for you,
when we meet again.

Bashir,Dave,Dre,Mike I love you guys! Your father was a great Man with a great personality! Her will truly be missed. Condolences to the rest of his family and friends.

The Corrections Officer stood and faced his God, which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shining, just as brightly as his brass."Step forward now, Corrections Officer. How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other check? To my church have you been true?"The Corrections Officer squared his shoulders and said, "No, Lord I guess I ain't, because those of us who carry badges can't always be a Saint.I've had to work most Sundays, and at times my work was rough, and sometimes I've been violent. Because inside the walls are awful tough. But I never took a penny, that wasn't mine to keep, I worked a lot of overtime, when the bills just got too steep. And I never passed a cry for help, though at times I shook with fear, and sometimes, God forgive me, I wept unmanly tears.I know I don't deserve a place among the people here. They never wanted me around except to calm their fears. If you've a place for me here, Lord, it needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, but if you don't I will understand."There was silence all around the Throne, where the Saints often trod. As the Corrections Officer waited quietly for the judgment of his God."Step forward now, Corrections Officer, you've borne your burdens well. Come walk a beat on Heaven's streets, you've done your time in Hell."
