Joseph David Dillon

Joseph D. Dillon passed away suddenly after a brief battle with brain cancer February 26, 2015.  Joe was born in Indianapolis, Indiana where he lived until he joined the United States Air Force and left to seek out new adventures.  After starting the journey of marriage to Deborah A. Dillon, he became a proud and active member of IBEW Local Union 313.  Joe loved his family, his country, reading, making an important point through lively debate, Gunsmoke, his Cadillac, Hawaii, and every meal ever prepared by his wife.He is preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Patricia Dillon and his sister Sharron Nicely of Indianapolis, IN.

 He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Debbie (Harrington, DE)y, his daughters LaNiece (Honolulu, HI) and Crystal Bloodsworth and her husband Scott (Viola, DE), his sisters Paula Fine (Indianapolis, IN) and Teresa Dillon (Satellite Beach, FL), his brother Lloyd and his wife Beth (Beech Grove, IN), and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Gathering will be held 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2015 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, Delaware.  Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.  In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in memory of Joe to Delaware Hospice or Johns Hopkins’ Friends of Brain Tumor Research.  Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com
