I worked for then Major Kennedy when he was the Assistant Chief of the Aeromedical Evacuation Division at the Military Airlift Command Surgeon's office from 1985-1986. It was to become the highlight of my Air Force career to serve with him! What a stellar person he was. And a truly awesome officer!

I am so sad about John's passing. I worked for him in Georgetown Division of Public Health, and he was the best! Words cannot express the loss I feel, although I have not seen him since his retirement. He was a kind, generous man who taught us to answer any ringing phone--in the job specs or not. He cared for his staff and for our clients. I am certain you, his family, will sorely miss him. Take Care.

It was my honor to serve with John while on active duty from 1995-1997 while assigned to the DoD Corporate Executive Management System Program Office. John was my Deputy at the time. l loved working with him. I swore that he went to his 'hovel 'every night and memorized some Irish ditty to impart the next day.....like jumping over mouse turds.... He always brought much needed levity when needed. He was God's gift to the world. I will always have fond memories of him as a trusted friend and fellow officer. God bless you.

I had the pleasure of working with John during his time at the Delaware Division of Public Health. And what a pleasure it was! I admired his dedication to providing high quality services to people who need them most, his willingness to do the work to make that happen, and his sense of humor about himself and the world we all live in. John was a Good Man. He will be greatly missed.
