Jimmie O. Robinson, age 80, of Camden, DE passed away December 1, 2016, surrounded by loving family, at Kent General Hospital. Mr. Robinson was born September 25, 1936 in Portsmouth, OH to the late Ottis & Charlotte Robinson.
After a distinguished career in the Air Force, Jimmie worked for PPG for 23 years. He loved to golf, bowl, rebuild cars and spend time at Hardee’s and Hall’s Restaurants. After retirement, he volunteered his time at Kent General Hospital in Patient Transport.
He is survived by his sons: Kevin (Nancy), Scott (Cecilia), Randy (the late Lori) & Rodney (Susan); grandchildren: Daniel (Sandy), Jason (Holly), Tyler, Sarah, Julia (John), Nathan, Stephen, Andrew & Hannah; great grandchildren Noelle, Gwen & Oliver, his sister Alice Rice and a multitude of nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Phyllis, his sister Janet Wooten & brother Donald Robinson.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at 1 PM at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE. Friends may gather beginning at 11 AM. Interment with military honors will be at Sharon Hills Memorial Park.
