Christopher L Jackson

Christopher L. Jackson, a lead line chef at Texas Roadhouse and resident of Dover, DE was called home to heaven unexpectedly on December 7, 2017 at the age of 36 in his home.

Chris was born at Dover AF Base on August 2, 1981 to Kathleen Jackson and Alan Tolson. He attended school at Caesar Rodney where he excelled in playing basketball and was named MVP of his team, sorry Scooter! He was a man known by many names; Action Jackson, Uncle Chris, CJ, Pretty Ricky, but especially Jackson! Chris was a lover of all music and he loved to freestyle. From early on in life he was a self-proclaimed chef which led him to his career in the food industry. His love and passion for food led him to his career at Texas Roadhouse where he created friendships and bonds that will last a lifetime. His coworkers would say he ran a tight ship but Chris would say “I’m feeding the world one plate at a time.” In a nut shell, he was a Casanova, comedian, protector, amazing friend, and family man! He spread love and compassion throughout his short life with a smile that would light any room and demand attention!

Chris’ light will continue to shine through his parents Kathleen (Thomas) and Allan (Pamela); his son Christian and daughter, Imani; his grandmother Gladys Jackson; his siblings Tiamarie, Amber, and Kahlil; 6 aunts and uncles; his closest cousins Shawna, April, Tiffany, Brandi, Kyrra, and many more. He also leaves behind a countless number of friends, who he considered family, and his special best friend Sylvia Clark-West; and his second family the Parker’s. He is lead to rest by his grandfather Leon H. Jackson and his Great Aunt Cora Hill.

Chris’ viewing and service will be held at Pippin Funeral Home at 119 W Camden Wyoming Ave Wyoming, DE 19934 on Thursday December 14, 2017. Viewing will be open to the public from 1-3pm. Service will be at 3pm led by Bishop Carlos Cannon. With a celebration of life immediately following.
