Blanche Kathleen Wilson

     Blanche Kathleen Wilson, 80, of Wyoming, went home to be with the Lord on July 13, 2016.

     Mrs. Wilson had been a clerk for Capitol Cleaners for many years.  Previously, she had worked in accounts payable for Carl King Tire in Wyoming.  She had also been a cashier for the Dover Air Force Base Commissary.

    The most important aspect of her life was spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren.  She liked to crochet, enjoyed baking cakes and brownies, reading, playing cards and had bowled for many years. Mrs. Wilson was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.  She was an original charter member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 1546, where she had been a member for 47 years.  She was an avid NASCAR fan and Jimmie Johnson was her favorite driver.

     Mrs. Wilson is survived by her husband of 53 years: Ferrill W. “Willy” Wilson, Sr.; four children: Cathy L. White and her husband Bruce of Virginia Beach, VA, Linda M. Heller and her husband Gary of Dover, Ferrill W. Wilson, Jr. of Hagerstown, MD, and D. Scott Wilson and his wife Melissa of Arnold, MD; two brothers: William Cooper of Wilmington, DE and Glenn Melvin of Wyoming; four sisters: Dorothy Cook of Minnesota, Ethyl Akmentins of Magnolia, Harriett Paglusch of Wyoming and Sandra Tucker of Georgetown; and five grandchildren: Gina Edwards, Katie Wilson, Craig White, Allison Wilson and Emma Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her son, N. Craig Wilson; her grandson, Cody Wilson; her brother Floyd “Butch” Melvin Jr.; her sisters R. Lorraine Collingwood and Margaret Sears; and her precious dog Cocoa.

     A graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Route 10, Camden, with a Celebration of Life immediately following at the Camden Wyoming Moose Lodge, 760 Moose Lodge Road, Wyoming, DE 19934. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Online condolences may be made via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
