Joseph Phillip Lindquist of Camden, Delaware passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He was 34 years old. Joe was born on February 20, 1980 in Farmington, Maine to Leland and Holly Lindquist. Joe was preceded in death by his grandparents, Phillip P. Welch, and Leland A. Lindquist; and cousins, Carole Soucie, and Jeanne Welch.
Joe attended Caesar Rodney High School, and graduated with the Class of 1998. He was a hard worker, and an excellent cook. He was employed at SportZone and Texas Roadhouse for several years. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing and golfing. He was a diehard Denver Broncos fan and followed Von Miller, one of his favorite players. Joe was a smart, funny, and kind person, who helped anyone he could. He liked to read blogs, listen to rap music, and pick up new hobbies, becoming quickly obsessed with whatever he was doing at the time. Of all things, Joe will mostly be remembered as a great Dad. He loved his boys and cherished time spent with them.
Joe is survived by his loving fiancée, Cassy; children Peyton and Archer; parents, Leland and Holly Lindquist; grandparents, Sylvia Pearson and Fran Lindquist; and brothers, Jon, Tim and his children, Tyler and Laila; co-workers and friends from SportZone and Texas Roadhouse; his extended family; and a large circle of close friends. He also leaves behind his two dogs, Obie and Carly; his cat, Tebow; a yard full of dog poop & a sink full of dirty dishes.
The family expresses deep gratitude to everyone who sent flowers, cards or donations; and everyone who offered kind thoughts, words, or prayers during this difficult time.
