William M. Young "Pops" was born on October 6, 1940 in Milford, Delaware to Marie and Eugene Young.  William attended Dover, High School and attained his CDL License thereafter, driving trucks long distance across the United States.  He worked multiple jobs throughout his life; he had a very strong work ethic.  William loved listening to music, fishing, crabbing, playing horseshoes and spending time with family and loved ones.  William was called home to be with the Lord, Friday, January 24, 2020 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

William is survived by his wife of 58 years, Estella Mae Young; his children, William Young, John Young, Margaret Young, Wanda Lingham (Warren), Patricia Young, Sheila Ewell (Earvin) and children from a previous relationship, Delores Perry, Preston Hicks, Percy Hicks, Tina Hicks & Tracy Hicks; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; his sister, Gloria Mae White; his brothers, Lawrence Young (Marilyn), Carl Young (the late Eleanor) & Eugene Young; his sister-in-law, Virginia Young; uncles, Samuel & Clarence Young, a great aunt, Margaret West and a host of nieces and nephews.  Mr. Young is preceded in death by two sons, Dirk Young & Napoleon Hicks; his brothers, Clarence (Dolores) & James; and his sisters Charlotte Scott (James), Loretta Young and Dorothy Young.

Funeral Service Monday, February 3, 2020, 11 am at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE.  Viewing at the funeral home beginning at 9 am.  Interment Williamsville Cemetery.
