William Blizzard Sweeny Jr.

William B. Sweeny, “Lurch”, 69, of Hartly Delaware passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Lurch was born and raised in Chester, PA to the late William B. Sweeny and Sarah Jane (Brady) Sweeny. He was preceded in death by his brother Albert Sweeny and grandson Anthony Minchella. Lurch survived by his wife Roseann Sweeny, daughters, Shannon Sweeny, Leah-Anne (Rob) Anderson, Danielle Richardville, and Son William Sweeny, brothers, Michael Sweeny, Joseph (Annmarie) Sweeny. He was also the proud grandfather of Jaylee and Nicholas Minchella, William, Brandon and Andrew Richardville, Arianna, Liam, and McKenna Sweeny, and great grandfather of Zane Minchella and a host of many nieces and nephews.

Lurch worked at Penn Dot and General Pipe Cleaning in Sharon Hill, PA. After his retirement, he enjoyed spending his free time with his family and friends, watching Nascar, and other sports, also going to the casino.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday October 24, 2020 from 1:30-4:00 pm at the home of Joseph and AnnMarie Sweeny @ 2223 Sylvan Drive, Boothwyn, PA 19061
