William H. Jacobs, 75, of Dover passed away peacefully on June 10, 2021 at The Delaware Hospice Center. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 22, 1945, son of the late William Jacobs and Elizabeth Rushton.
Bill graduated from Rindge Tech High school in 1963. He began working for General Foods which brought him to Delaware in 1965. He worked for General Foods for 42 years as a machine operator.
He enjoyed traveling and taking day trips with his wife, Marjorie. He was an avid sports fan to all that knew him. If there was a Red Sox, Philadelphia Flyers, or Eagles game on, you could guarantee he was watching it. His love of sports carried through to his sons, Chris and Billy. He also loved hot rods and corvettes. He was a member of Del Rods Car Club. Bill also loved his Harley Davidson motorcycles.
Bill will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marjorie Jacobs. They would have celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary in September. He is also survived by his children, Chris Jacobs (Amy) and Billy Jacobs (Lori); grandchildren, Dylan, Laci, Samantha, Aiden, and Kaylee; his sister-in-law Cynthia and husband Steve of Ayer, Massachusetts; his many nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat, Chesney.
A special thank you to Callee Pinkowski whom helped care for Bill during the last year of his declining health. She always made him smile and made his bad days better. Also, thank you to all CNA’s Bill has had over the years.
A visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Pippins Funeral Home 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, Delaware. Funeral service will follow at 6 p.m.
