William Stewart “Stu” Dawes
March 1, 1942 ~ September 14, 2021 (age 79)
William Stewart Dawes 79 of Dover, Delaware passed away peacefully on September 14, 2021 at Kent General Hospital. Born in Wilmington, Delaware, he was the son of the late Roberta (Stewart) and William L. Dawes.
Stewart was in executive management for Sears Roebuck and company for over 40 years and later a New York State regional manager with Otis Spunkmeyer cookie company.
Stewart’s proudest moments were at the births of each of his four grandchildren. He was so proud of the men and women they have become.
Stewart is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Victoria Maull; his sister Elizabeth Carbaugh; his children Kevin Dawes and his wife Joy of Huntsville, Alabama; Stephen Dawes and his wife Michelle of Plano, Texas; grandchildren Harper, Ethan, Jacob and Alexandra. extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked to send donations to Delaware Hospice 911 South Dupont Highway, Dover, Delaware 19901.
