Virginia Reynolds Obituary

Virginia (Ginny) Reynolds, 89 of Frederica passed away on March 14, 2026, surrounded by family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great  great grandmother. Ginny was born October 9, 1936 to the late Herbert and Catherine Kemp. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her first husband, William Vincent Hartnett and second husband Weldon B. Reynolds. She was also proceeded in death by her son, William Darren Hartnett, and her brothers, Herbert E. Kemp and Fred W. Kemp. 

She is survived by her daughter, Hope Adlam (John), grandchildren, JW Adlam and Ashley Adlam-Hernandez, and great grandchildren, Jordan Adlam, Sasha Hernandez, Jaxson Hernandez, Sophia Hernandez, and Isabella Adlam. She also had two great great grandchildren, Liam and Sadie Adlam. 

Ginny was a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge, the Modern Maturity Center in Dover and also was a member of the Frederica Senior Center where she spent much of her time. 

She loved country music and going to the dances. You could often find her dancing to her favorite country music or line dance song at home as well. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of many leagues. Her passion in life was to be as active as possible and spend time with friends and family. Ginny also cherished her beloved cat Greyson, whose love brought her comfort, companionship, and quiet strength throughout their time together. During her employment, she was a manager of Woodcrest Arms Apartments, and also a manager of the Super Soda Center. 

The family would like to give a special thank you to the amazing and dedicated staff at the Country Rest Home in Greenwood, Delaware for all their care and love toward our cherished mom, grandmother, and great grandmother. The staff truly treated her like family and spoiled her with ice cream and pizza. A special thank you goes to Louella, Lori, Tari, LaTonya, and Shelby. The family is also appreciative for the ongoing care and support from Hospice, especially nurse Tracy and nurse Tasha. 

Service will be 12:30 pm, Monday, March 23, 2026 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 West Camden-Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, where family and friends may gather one hour earlier.  Burial will follow in Hopkins Cemetery, Felton, Delaware.
