Viola Grace Hollingsworth, of Magnolia, passed away peacefully in her home, Friday, February 5, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was 86.
Viola was born October 6, 1934 in Watson, Missouri to the late, William & Clara (Armstrong) Stanton. Viola worked in retail sales for many years, and had been a volunteer at Bayhealth/Kent General Hospital. In her free time, she enjoyed bird watching, and doing puzzles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,whom she was married to for 61 years, James Hollingsworth, and her son, Tommy Ray Hollingsworth.
Viola is survived by two children, Gayle Quillen, of Magnolia and James Hollingsworth & wife, Lori, of Felton; two sisters, Emma Easley, of Rock Port, Missouri and Sharon Stanton Martin, of Evergreen, Colorado. Her grandchildren, Ladawn Lemley (Mike), of Hartly, Veronica Eastman (Mike), of Felton; Jamie Johnston Kitchner; and Ashley Hollingsworth (Brett), of Felton; her great-grandchildren, Jenny Lemley (James), of Fair Haven, Vermont; Richie Lemley, of Hartly, Cheyanne Brown of Hartly, Bradley Jackson, of Felton, Jacob Jackson, of Felton, Brooklyn Eastman, of Felton, and Peyton Eastman, of Felton.
A viewing of family and friends will be held from 11am-12noon, Wednesday, February 10, 2021, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE, adhering to the current Covid-19 restrictions of mask wearing, social distancing, and 50 people at a time; with a Private Funeral Service to follow. Burial will be in Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
