Veronica Shurin Campanella of Dover, Delaware, formerly of Bound Brook, New Jersey passed away November 22, 2024, at the age of 95.
Veronica was pre-deceased by her parents, Peter and Mary (Watrol) Shurin, her spouse of 74 years Michael S. Campanella and 5 siblings.
Veronica moved to Bound Brook from Manville in 1948. She attended Elementary school in Manville and Bound Brook High School. She graduated in 1947.
She met the love of her life, Michael S. Campanella, in June of 1947. They were engaged in December of 1947 and married in June of 1948. They had two daughters, Janis and Joan.
Veronica was a homemaker. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, oil painting, creating flower arrangements and other various crafts.
Veronica leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughters Janis Pypniowski (Stan) of Virginia and Joan Lobby (Raymond) of Delaware; her grandchildren Heather (Lobby) Cruz-Hackett (Ken Hackett) of Delaware, Justin Pypniowski (Susie), and Stephanie (Pypniowski) Walters (Darren) of Virginia as well as her great grandchildren Alexa Cruz-Hackett, Kenny and Emily Hackett of Delaware, Ava and Dillon Pypniowski, Julia and Gavin Walters of Virginia and sister Dorothy Mikush of Massachusetts.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Dover Place in Dover, DE for their kindness while caring for her and enriching her life for the past 2+ years.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, where viewing will be one hour earlier. Interment will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, Delaware.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for the Cure.
