Timothy "Timmy" Draine, Jr. Obituary

     It is with great sadness that the family of Timothy (Timmy) Draine, Jr. announce that Timmy has passed away at the age of 27, tragically in a car accident on Saturday, May 13, 2023 in Georgetown, Delaware where he has resided for the past two years. Before that he resided in Dover, Delaware for many years. Timmy is preceded in death by his maternal aunt Donna Krise who he loved dearly! Timmy is survived by his mother Faith Draine Blackson and fiancé DaShawn Waters of Dover Delaware, four siblings, a brother, Austin Draine (23), sisters Mariyaeh Draine (23), Serenity Draine (16), and Nevaeh Draine (15), all of Dover Delaware.  His maternal grandmother Patricia Slaughter, who meant the world to him, along with her companion Donald Short, of Magnolia, Delaware, His maternal grandpa Reverend Dr. Thom Slaughter and Nana Debbie, Godparents Artis and Micki Williams and two God sisters Keziah and Kari Williams from Prairieville, Louisiana but resided in Newark, Delaware for many years when Timmy was just 3 years old.  Timmy is also survived by his maternal uncle David Krise Sr. and wife Missy;  cousin Prescilla Kenner and husband James, cousin David Krise Jr. and wife Erin of Middletown, Delaware. maternal uncle Robert Krise of Smyrna, Delaware and cousins Courtney and Cody Krise of Delaware

     Timmy attended Hartly Elementary School, graduated and went on to William Henry, completing the 5th and 6th grade.  He then went on to Central Middle, then promoted to Dover High and was the very first class to graduate from the new Dover High School in 2015. Timmy was dedicated to the Lord when he was almost two years old at Praise Assembly in Newark, Delaware where he was saved and attended Royal Prayers youthful group.  Timmy began working right after he graduated and was employed at Dover Downs for about 6 years first as a server for many years and then began to bartend as well.  Timmy also worked at Dunkin Donuts as well in Smyrna, Delaware as his second job for a while.  Timmy then started working at Rosenfield’s Jewish Deli in Rehoboth, Delaware over 2 years where he was a server and absolutely loved his work family and loved all of his customers and really enjoyed what he did.

     Ever since a baby Timmy would light up any room he entered.  He was such a happy baby and had a laugh out of this world even as a grown man.  His laugh was contagious.  He loved family, work, his friends, traveling and he absolutely loved his dog Roman!  He was a member of the LGBTQ community and loved Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.  He knew every word to every song.  He was so full of life, always stood up for what was right and would help anyone, even if he didn’t have it.  He loved to cook and was excited to start his Youtube channel soon and his very own makeup line.  He was very spiritual and had his own relationship with God.  He was so genuine, big hearted, hard working and loved spending time with his friends who he loved so dearly.  Timmy was loved by so many.  He has such a large extended family of aunts and cousins.  Timmy would want everyone to live their lives to the fullest, love yourself, love your family, love others, show kindness and know Jesus loves you.

     Gathering will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday May 25, 2023 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, Delaware 19934  Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 26, 2023 at the funeral home where friends may call one hour earlier.  Burial to follow at Barratt’s Chapel Cemetery in Frederica, Delaware. Letters of condolence may be sent via:  www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
