On Friday, November 8, 2019, Timothy Everette Darling, husband, father, loving son, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend, passed away at the age of 56.
Timothy was born January 2, 1963 in Seaford, DE. He graduated from Seoul American High School in Seoul, Korea in 1981. Timothy joined the U.S. Air Force May 14, 1982. He was awarded the “Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, and Air Force Overseas Long Tour Service Ribbon.” Timothy served in Bentwaters, England where he met his wife. After serving in the United States Air Force, Timothy returned to Delaware in 1984 and attended Delaware State College for a couple of years where he played football. Timothy had a passion for all sports, especially football. His favorite football team was the Philadelphia Eagles. He also thought he was a “Rapper”. After leaving college, he worked at different establishments in Dover until he was disabled.
Timothy was preceded in death by his father Robert Earl Darling, brother Althonda L. Darling, sister Fredrica Darling Frasier and brother Rochelle Lamont Darling. He is survived by his wife Joan King, son Marcus King, daughter Nikki Sykes, his son Ronny McCoy, mother Carmal Darling Banks, sister Paulette D. Hunter (William), brother Armundo Darling (Meshia), and a very special cousin Zachary Morris and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, November 22, 2019 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where there will be a viewing from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Friday. Burial will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear.
