Thomas Allen Gutgsell
Obituary
Tom passed away on Monday, August 28th, in Dover.
Tom was born in Wilmington, Delaware, the son of Gerald Gutgsell and Betty Lou
Cobb. He grew up in Camden before moving to Sandtown as a teen. Upon leaving
High School he worked as an Auto Body Technician. He enjoyed fishing, building
RC cars and collecting bald eagle statues and Harley-Davidson memorabilia. If
there was an empty surface needing decoration, he would stick a Harley decal on
it. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and come away with a new
friend.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Allison (Boone) Gutgsell, daughter Katrina
Gutgsell, sister Edith Gutgsell, brother Robert Gutgsell, nephew Gerald Gutgsell,
cousin Judy Shields, all of Sandtown, as well as other family members all across
the U.S.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the
American Cancer Society.
