Thomas Farrington, Sr.

Thomas Farrington, 63, of Dover Delaware passed away unexpectedly at home on February 16, 2021. 
Tom was born May 30, 1957 in Harford County, Maryland to the late Orville Farrington and B Marie (Smithson) DeRan. 

Tom was a proud retired Teamster - Local # 557 and a member of Dover Elks Lodge. He loved sports, classic cars, watching NASCAR and was an avid pool player. He spent many years playing on local APA pool leagues. As a man of many words, he never met a stranger and always had a story for everyone. 

Tom was an expert landscaper and helped all of his neighbors and friends with their projects. He gave so much of himself and was always willing, and ready, to help anyone who needed him with anything. 

Tom leaves behind his soul mate, and life partner, Karen; a son Thomas Farrington Jr, his wife Katrin, grandchildren Adrian Liam and Lilliane Eryn; his stepdaughter Lauren and her husband Matthew Willoughby. Tom will be deeply missed by his extended family members and many friends. Jack and Josie, his faithful labs, were always by his side and every stray cat found a fur-ever home with him. 

A walk-thru gathering will take place February 26, 2021 from 4 to 5:45 pm followed by a private service at Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming, DE.  The family is limited to 50 guests, social distancing and masks are required. A live stream of the service will be available at www.pippinfuneralhome.com. 

The family would like everyone to be comfortable, feel free to wear casual attire. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Brandywine Valley SPCA Dover, 1757 Horsepond Road, Dover, DE 19901.
