Theodore Dunston

Theodore Dunston of Frederica, Delaware died peacefully in his home March 15, 2025.  He was 88 years old.  “Ted” as he liked to be called was born in Nash County, North Carolina to Romas and Betty Dunston. He was the third of four children. 

In 1955 Ted joined the United States Air Force.  He served several tours stateside and overseas, two of his tours were in Vietnam.  He also spoke of his Alaska tour; he was there when the great earthquake struck in 1964.  Ted retired from the military in 1975. 

He is survived by his second wife, Anna Dunston; son, Theodore Patrick; and stepson Nathan Goldsboro;  He has four children from his first wife, Dottie, they are Linda Gyle, Vickie Jo, John Fitzgerald and Theodore;  His one sibling, Linda, lives in Rocky Mount, North Carolina;  Sister in laws, Edna Garfield of Baltimore, Maryland, Hilda Jones of Delaware, Dolores Roberts of Delaware and Dorene Deputy of Delaware; brothers in laws, Albert Deputy, Richard Deputy and Dale Coston all live in Delaware; there are numerous other relatives and friends that will mourn his passing.

A funeral service for Theodore Dunston will take place on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 11:00am at Pippin Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends one hour prior.  A graveside will follow at the Delaware Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro at 2:00pm.
