Terrane Bratcher, lovingly known as “Ray,” passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, at the age of 46, surrounded by his loved ones. Born and raised in Dover, Delaware, Ray was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose heart and spirit touched all who knew him.
A true jack of all trades, Ray could fix anything and was always the first to offer a helping hand. He found peace and joy in the simple pleasures of life — whether it was hunting, fishing, camping, or simply being outdoors. But more than anything, Ray cherished spending time with his family. His greatest pride was taking care of the people he loved, and he never let a day go by without reminding them how much they meant to him.
Ray was a man of deep faith, and he lived his life with a steadfast love for God. He sought to follow God's lead in all he did, trusting in divine guidance through life’s many highs and lows. His faith was not just something he held privately, but something he shared openly — through the way he loved, forgave, gave generously, and walked with purpose. His trust in God shaped the way he treated others and the choices he made.
Ray was the kind of man who met life head-on. Kind, caring, and hardworking, he faced every challenge with grit and determination. No matter what obstacles came his way, Ray never gave up on anything he put his mind to. He was a fighter through and through. His strong will, generous heart, and enduring love for his family and friends defined who he was.
He is survived by his devoted girlfriend of many years, Danika; his children, Darian and Alexis; and two precious grandbabies who brought him endless joy. He also leaves behind his loving mother, Arleen; his siblings, Rena, Matthew, Mia, and Malik; and many nieces and nephews, including Sabre and Amani, as well as great-nephews Carter, DJ, Szacari, Cameron, and Iman, whom he loved like no other.
Ray is also survived by extended family and lifelong friends who will continue to honor his memory and the impact he had on their lives.
At this time, no public service will be held, but Ray’s life and legacy will be celebrated privately by those who loved him most.
Ray’s warmth, determination, and deep love — for God and for his family — will be remembered always.
