Susan Louise Drenthe

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Susan (Susie) Louise Drenthe on April 11, 2026, at the age of 66. Susie left us unexpectedly but her loving and joyful presence will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Born on November 16, 1959, in Kaiserslautern Germany, she moved to the United States at the age of 1. Susie grew up on Dover Air Force Base. She was a family woman. She loved kayaking, family game night, and big family get togethers, especially Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. 

Susie is survived by her husband, Henri Drenthe of 49 years; her three children, Christan Drenthe of DE, Brandon Drenthe, Sr of DE, and Ashley and her husband Matthew Bowen of TN; eight grandchildren, Brandon Drenthe, Jr, Brianne, Seth and Evan Bowen, Juliane and Henri Cochran, Harper, and Aubree Drenthe; her brothers, David Wurzel and his wife Rose, Michael Wurzel and his wife Sarina; many nieces and nephews and her mother, Christa and her husband Robert Hickey and also the family dog Max. 

She now joins her father Charles Wurzel and sister Caren Roy in eternal rest.
