Steven A. Lockwood

     Steven A. Lockwood died November 7, 2024 in Bayhealth (Kent General Hospital). Steve was the son of Linford “Lin” and Estelle Lloyd Lockwood.  He was 58 years old.

     Steve graduated from Dover High School and Baltimore International Culinary Institute. Upon graduation from culinary school, he immediately began his career with Caesars Atlantic City Casino, retiring after 30 years as a pastry chef.  He then returned home to Dover and worked in the inside lawn and garden department at Lowes in Camden.

     Steve was a great sports fan. He enjoyed all sports. He loved fishing. He always looked forward to his winter fishing trips to Key West and his spring and fall offshore fishing in the Outer Banks. He was also a traveler-Europe, Alaska, Mexico and most of the United States. He enjoyed spending time with friends and tending to his yard.  He was an animal lover and loved golden retrievers.

     Steve is survived by his parents Lin and Estelle Lockwood and his beloved golden retriever, Dakota.

     A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 14, 2024 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE  19934 where there will be a viewing from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Thursday.  Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. In  lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to First State Animal Shelter & SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934.
