Steven Lillquist Obituary

Steven Robert Lillquist passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1, 2025, in Milford, Delaware, surrounded by loving family. Born on July 8, 1953, in Liverpool, England, to Joan Douthwaite (Lillquist) and Donald Lillquist, Steven lived a life marked by devotion, resilience, and a generous spirit.

An avid fisherman and former boat captain, Steven loved spending time on the water, often fishing with his father, sons, and friends. He had a passion for gardening, cultivating large, bountiful gardens each year and always sharing his harvest with others. A master craftsman, he enjoyed building furniture, restoring antiques, and bringing his inventive and artistic ideas to life. Steven loved working on projects in his garage and took great joy in cooking, especially grilling for family and friends. He cherished his two dogs and delighted in spending time with them. Known for his kindness and generosity, Steven freely gave his time to help others, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Steven was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Douthwaite. He is survived by his children: Andrew Lillquist and his children, Aaron and Joslyn, of Florida; Adrian Lillquist (Terra) and their children, Connor and Ava, of Delaware; and Shawn Lillquist (Nathan), of Florida. He is also survived by his father, Donald Lillquist; his brother, Jeffrey Lillquist (Rose); and his sister, Carol Bradley (Michael), all of Delaware; including his niece and nephews: Bill Bradley of Delaware, Heather Bradley Loghry of California, and Nick Lillquist of Delaware. He is also remembered by Karen Lillquist of Delaware and her children: Bradley Lind and Bryon Albright of Florida, and Courtney Albright and her children, Anthony Iafornaro and Emma Flickinger, of Delaware.

Steven’s legacy lives on in the many lives he touched, the family he cherished, and the memories that will forever hold him close.
