Stephen Ryan Hurd

Stephen Ryan Hurd, of Viola, went home to be with the Lord and his mom on Monday, June 7, 2021.  He was 36.  He was born in Dover, DE to Johnny L. Hurd and Pamela J. (Lewis) Hurd.  Stephen was a special soul who touched everyone’s life he came in to contact with.  He loved music, swimming, riding his four-wheeler, and most of all, he loved his family.  He had an affinity for life no matter his “limitations”.  He is proceeded in death by his mom, Pamela J. (Lewis) Hurd.  He is survived by his father, Johnny L. Hurd (Robin Baker), and his sister, Rachel M. Hurd-Torres (Daniel Torres).  Funeral services will be held at Pippin Funeral Home in Camden-Wyoming, DE on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 6 pm,where family and friends may view from 4-6 pm.  Burial will be held in West Orange Cemetery, Orange, Massachusetts.  In lieu of flowers, family asks that donations be made to the Autism Science Foundation.  Condolences may be sent via:www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
