Shirley Elizabeth (Alexander) Cole, 77, of Magnolia passed away on May 17, 2023 at home.
Mrs. Cole was a security manager for Wilmington Dry Goods in Dover which later became Value City, retiring after over 30 years of service. At the same time, she was a school bus driver for Dawson Bus Service for about 35 years. She then drove a bus for Chambers Bus Service in Canterbury. She was a member of Milford First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by her husband, Earl E. Cole, Sr., who passed away in 1988. She is survived by her three sons: Troy Cole of Magnolia, Jonathan P. Cole and his wife Paula of Dover, and Adam Cole and his wife Jenny of Felton; three sisters: Anna Mae Ingram of Pipeville, KY, Joanne Daniels, serving as a missionary in Belize, and Sandy Roumillat of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her step-son, Earl E. Cole, Jr.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where there will be a viewing from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Tuesday. Burial will follow in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.
