Sharon Lee Hughes, 83, of Magnolia, Delaware, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026.
Born on September 30, 1943, in Bloomingdale, New Jersey, Sharon lived a life centered on family, kindness, and community. She was a devoted stay at home mother who later worked as a dental hygienist in New Jersey for 10 years, where she was known for her gentle care and warm smile.
Sharon found joy in spending time with friends through her local Garden Club and the Red Hats. She had a love for gardening, fellowship, and creating lasting memories with those she cared about most.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Hughes and his wife, Kathy and Eric W. Hughes and his wife, Arlyn; and by her beloved grandchildren, Kristen O'Byrne, Kevin Hughes, and Ashley Ahlfeld.
Her love, guidance, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
Sharon's legacy is one of love, compassion, and quiet strength. She touched many lives through her generosity, friendship, and dedication to her family.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 12:00 noon at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, Delaware, where friends and family may call beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, Delaware.
