Sandra "Sandy" Lamb Obituary

      Sandra (Sandy) Sprague Lamb

Sandy was born in Dexter Maine August 15, 1944 and passed away December 16, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents Norma and Frederick Sprague and sister Barbara Ronco.

She is survived by her sister Betty Taylor from Belmont Maine; son Scott & Angela Smith from Denver CO, daughter Vicky and John Dodenhoff from Magnolia DE; grandchildren, Adam and Rebekah Smith from Denver CO; Brandon and Joshua Vacchelli from  Oahu Hawaii; great grandchildren: Eliana, Jenessa and Mason Vacchelli; Journey Yuen and L.S. & A.S..

Sandy lived a full adventurous life. She was the first in her family to go to college earning both an Associates and Bachelors degree which led her to employment as a counselor within Delaware’s Prison system. After 20 plus years, she retired as a Senior Probation Officer. (Oh the stories she told!!)

After retirement, Sandy kept busy doing home improvement projects in her 100 year old home which she took great pride in. She enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling and the Philadelphia Eagles Football Team, however shared no love for the Dallas Cowboys!! Nothing ever put such a big smile on her face as spending time with the great grandchildren. This year on Thanksgiving, she helped 4 of her 6 grandchildren decorate her last Christmas tree.  She was never so happy watching and dictating where holes needed to be filled!

Sandy’s FAVORITE time of the year was always Christmas. Her children and grandchildren will always remember the time Sandy put on a FULL Christmas extravaganza in the middle of July. Multiple trees, garland and overflowing stockings galore to celebrate all the Christmases missed over the years with family.

Although she was loved and will be greatly missed, we are grateful she is no longer suffering and is now at peace.  At Sandy’s request, there will be no local services and she will be laid to rest beside her mother at Crosby Neal Funeral Home in Dexter Maine.
