Ruth Eleanor Pratt

Ruth E Pratt, age 92 of Dover, DE passed away peacefully on July 22,2025 surrounded by her loving family. 

Ruth was born in St Louis, MO. to the late Henrietta (Figge) and LeRoy Meyer. 

She worked at Glasgow High School up until her retirement. 

She enjoyed fishing, cooking, baking, singing, and spending time with her family. Her love for the Lord was first in her heart. She loved going to church, taking meals when they had dinners and just   gathering with her church friends and family.

Ruth will be remembered for her humor, her giving heart, kindness to others and her beautiful smile.     

She deeply loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending as much time with them as she could. 

Ruth is predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Amerson T. Pratt Sr; son Daniel Pratt, daughter Diana McCann and grandson Derek Pratt.

She is survived by her son; Amos Pratt Jr (Sue); daughter Deborah Jenkins (Tom) and a nephew she loved like a son, Phillip Brown (Carolyn).  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kathryn Jordon (Greg); Benjamin Meyer (Amanda); Nathan Meyer (Heather); Danielle Pratt; Brandon Bonk and Christina Bonk-Saffer (Howard), Carissa Altman (Andrew), granddaughter-in-law Kelly Pratt, as well as many great-grandchildren.  

The family would like to thank Delaware Hospice for their care and compassion during this difficult time. 

Funeral services will be private.
