Ronald Len Burris Jr. 41 affectionately known as “RJ” “Pops” “Bro” “Lil Ronald” quietly slipped away on September 08, 2022 after a lengthy battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family.
As a young man he grew up in the country. In his young age he enjoyed dirt biking, fishing, motorcycles and spending time at the garage with his family. He grew up in Dover First Seventh Day Adventist Church in Dover DE. Being active in Pathfinders, he developed a special relationship with Elder Kevin and Gwynne Hoffecker. Ronald always talked about the memories he shared with them. In his older years he began his journey in fatherhood and enjoyed working as a mechanic. In 2009 he began working as a flagger which he enjoyed doing for 10 years before he then went back to his love for working on cars at Firestone alongside his Godfather Adam Pomales. Ronald, Jr. loved spending time with his children and his family.
Ronald Jr. was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Loisteen Cain, paternal grandmother Doris Burris, paternal grandfather Myrtle Burris Jr., uncle Donald Burris Sr., uncle Mark Burris, nephew Alfred Kollie Jr., and a special cousin Jermaine Cain.
He leaves to cherish fond memories; his mother Alwilda Burris, fathe Ronald L Burris Sr., maternal grandfather Albert Cain Sr., four sisters: Rhonda Aird, Patrice Cain, Danielle Cain, and Brittany Bordley; two brothers Andre Burris and Jamere Burris; 8 children: Da’Quan Gibbs, Tyreese Baynard, Ta’Naisha Gibbs, Heavenn Williams, Davien Burris, DaRon Burris, Ah’Zion Patterson and Egypt Burris; one grandchild Kahmya Monae Baynard; a girlfiend Dawn Taylor and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Dover First Seventh-day Adventist Church, 647 Wyoming Avenue, Dover, DE 19904 where there will be a viewing from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Sunday.
