Robin Dayne Vaught died Tuesday, September 30th.
Rob was born June 19th, 1950 to Jay and Margaret Vaught. He grew up in Stewartstown, PA. Rob joined the Navy in January of 1969. He served 4 years in the Navy. He was stationed in Long Beach, California, where he met his wife Starla at a church he was attending. They were married in Manhattan Beach California, at Bethany Church in November, 1972. He worked at Farr Company and Hughes Aircraft in Southern California, and ILC Dover in configuration management.
He is survived by his son Joshua and his wife Amanda; his daughter Kate and her husband Greg Gillespie; his grandchildren Jade and husband Sam Malinky, Alexis and husband TJ Lilly, J.R., Lane, Dayne, Cole and Linnea; his great grandbaby on the way, Tommie; and his siblings, Richard and his wife Kathy, Mary and her husband Mike King, Alta and her husband Tom Brown.
Rob lived a full 75 years of life. Spending time with family on the farm, telling stories, learning new things, International Harvester Collector’s Tractor Club, and cheering his family on in all of their endeavors, whether sports, work or adventuring. He enjoyed motorcycling in his earlier days and has always loved boats. He never met a stranger - whether you were the person checking him out at the grocery store or waiting on him at a restaurant - you were his friend, and he was yours. He lived every day to the fullest, even the mundane, because he carried the joy of the Lord. He has gone to worship His Savior, and has certainly heard the words he’s longed to hear, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, November 1st, at 10:00am. Pastor Charles Johnson will be officiating at Pilgrim’s Chapel, 4792 Milford Harrington Highway, Harrington DE.
