Robert Deshawn Pierce

     Robert Deshawn Pierce was born September 2, 1990 to Harlisa Pierce and Robert Roundtree. He unexpectedly departed this life on Friday, May 2, 2025 at the age of 34. He graduated Milford High School in 2009. He was employed by Right Way Flagging & Sign Co and Hazz Entertainment. 

     Robert also known as Des, Rob, or Flathead loved to joke around and make everyone laugh. From online roast sessions with his friends to yearly pranks on his sister which included snakes, bugs, and a giftwrapped car. Even on his bad days he had the kindest heart. He used his humor to uplift and encourage. He loved to watch and play football even getting involved in the community women’s flag football. His favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys. On any random day you could catch him fishing, riding his motorcycle, or spending time with his family and kids. Growing up in a closeknit family Robert was an unofficial member and hypeman of the church choir, sneaking into rehearsals keeping them on their toes. Robert’s presence, charm, and comforting smile will be missed. 

     Robert was preceded in death by his mother Harlisa Pierce, father Robert Roundtree, and aunt Elizabeth Short. 

     Robert will be lovingly remembered by his matenral grandparents Harvey and Gloria Bowman; fraternal grandmother Doris Roundtree; daughters Meilani Brittingham, Sophia Pierce, and Royalty Pierce; sons Zion Mosley Pierce and Ryder Pierce; sister Jelisa Pierce; aunts Lisa Roundtree and Sheila Roundtree; uncles John (Nicky) Bowman, David (Toni) Bowman; Elton Roundtree, Charles Roundtree, Richard Roundtree, and Eddie Roundtree; special cousins Trey Bowman, David Bowman Jr, Tyesha Robinson, Davshawn Brewer, Ricky Stevens, Shannon Pierce, Sharonda Pierce, and Maryann Murray; special friends Tyrell Hazzard and Vontrell Bibbins; as well as a host of family and friends.

     A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 17, 2025 at New Birth Christian Center, 100 Addix Avenue, Greenwood, DE 19950 where there will be a viewing from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.
