Robert L Larimore

Robert L. Larimore of Wyoming, Delaware passed away of natural causes on April 12, 2024.  He was born in Petersburg, Delaware September 23, 1937 to James & Eliza Larimore.  He grew up as the youngest of 9 siblings. He is survived by a sister, Catherine Degnats, and a brother Albert Larimore.  

Robert, or Bobby as he is known to friends and family, graduated from Caesar Rodney High School in 1955. After graduating he began his surveying career with Charles Brown Surveyor.  He also served for several years in the Delaware National Guard.  In 1958 he married his high school sweetheart, Rose Pentimall.  They have two children, Gary Larimore of Wyoming, DE and Dawn (Larimore) Gonce of Woodstock, MD.   He also was a member of the Willow Run Ruritan Club where he helped work at special events for many years.

On January 31, 1974 Mr. Larimore became licensed to practice surveying in his own business.  He loved surveying, and worked until he was 85.  In 2019 he was presented with the prestigious Delaware Surveyor of the Year award. 

He enjoyed a membership in the Wild Quail Golf Club where he enjoyed playing with friends and working on improving his golf game.

He was also a member of the Wyoming United Methodist Church, and served as a greeter. 

He is survived by his wife, Rose Larimore, his son, Robert Gary Larimore and wife Chrissy,  his daughter Dawn (Larimore) Gonce and husband Chris. In addition, he has been blessed with 8 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.  He will be very missed by his loving family.

His life will be celebrated at a memorial service on May 16 at 6:30 PM at Wyoming United Methodist Church at 216 Wyoming Mill Rd, Dover DE.
