Robert Hungerford

Robert A. Hungerford (Bobby) 73, of Magnolia went home to be with the Lord Thursday, May 29, at Christiana Hospital. He and his wife Donna were blessed with 45 wonderful years together, 39 years of marriage. He is survived by his son Shawn Heller, his daughter Laura (Jesse) Connor, surviving brothers Raymond, Richard, and Mark Hungerford. He enjoyed spending time with his family, sister-in-law, Micki and her husband Steve Taylor, their son Jeff (Dee) Taylor and their grandaughter Emily (Eric), sons Tyler and Keanu Davis. He enjoyed camping in Virginia and the small weekend trips to Pennsylvania to see family. Too many more family members to mention and had so many friends, they all meant a lot to him, some just like part of the family. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed him. He loved doing his yard work and feeding the birds. He also counted on his yearly vacation to Florida to visit Grandson Brandon (Amanda) and great Grandson Mason Heller. Granddaughter Kayla (Ty) and great Grandsons, Jacob and Lucas Saltiel, and Granddaughter Karlee George. They had a big spot in his heart. One more of his favorite trips every October was to Skyline Drive in Virginia. He and his wife Donna loved to see the bear and count the deer and see the changing of the leaves. “God’s Country”. He also enjoyed going to Ballys occasionally to lose a little of the money he made working for Playtex Family Products for 46 years. Bobby was a kind man with a big sense of humor and will be missed by all.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Magnolia Fire Hall on Friday, June 20th from 4-8pm, where family and friends are welcome to come share their memories.
