Robert Lancaster Fox

Robert Lancaster Fox, 71, of Dover, Delaware passed away on March 17, 2023 from colon cancer.  Robert was born on November 9, 1951 to Jacqueline McGann Fox and Edward Seabrook (Brook) Fox in Norfolk, Virginia.  After graduating from Caesar Rodney High School in 1969, he went on to study accounting, graduating with a B.S. in Accounting from Delaware State University and a Masters in Taxation from Widener University.  He earned his CPA certification while working for Patterson and Associates after which he started his own practice providing accounting services to the local community for over 40 years.  He was a long-standing member of Dover Capital City Rotary and supported several charities including Delaware Charitable Music, Delaware Friends of Folk and New Beginnings-Next Step.  In 1981, Robert married the love of his life Christine Perry, and they went on to have three children: Ian McGann Fox, Ryan Perry Fox and Alan Brandt Fox.  Robert loved cooking for the family and at charitable events, vacationing at their Myrtle Beach condominium and spending time with his grandchildren.  He is survived by his wife Christine of Dover, Delaware; his sons Ian Fox and his wife Nicole and children Liam and Genevieve of Dover, Delaware, Ryan Fox of Mashpee, Massachusetts and Alan Fox and Fiancé Sara Cline of Chesapeake, Virginia; and brothers Stephen Fox of Chapel Hill, North Carolina and Randolph Fox and wife Debbie Rouse of Camden- Wyoming, Delaware.  A gathering of remembrance and a celebration of life will take place on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 2p.m. to 4p.m. at Maple Dale Country Club, 180 Mapledale Road Dover, DE 19904.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to New Beginnings-Next Step or Delaware Hospice.
