Robert William Barrett

Robert William Barrett, age 80 of Dover passed away with his loving wife at his side September 13, 2022.  Robert was born in Dover on April 5, 1942, the son of John & Dorothea Barrett.

Robert was raised on a farm and farmed his entire life. He started with his own family farm, then went to work with others. He worked for Hank Zimmerman, Joe Jackewicz, he farmed for himself for some time and finished his farming career with Phillip Cartanza. Farming was his life.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents and brother John Barrett.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 ½ years, Nancy; his children, Susan (Jamie) Bethard, Robert J. (Melissa) Barrett, Brian (Dawn) Barrett & Penuel (Kim) Barrett; his grandchildren, Lindsey (Josh), Joshua, Morgan, Mikayla, Nicholas (Brianna), Matthew (Emily), & Jacob; great grandchildren, Cora Blake, Cooper, Kayden, & Harper Grace, his sister, Shirley Kruppa, sister-in-law, Marjorie Barrett, extended family, and friends.  Mr. Barrett passed with expectation of his next great grandchild expected in October, Layla.

Funeral Friday, September 16, 2022, 12 Noon at Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming, DE, where friends may call beginning at 11 am.  Interment to follow at Slaughter Neck Cemetery, Argos Corner, DE.
