Richard William Meisinger

             Richard William (Pop) Meisinger, age 74, of Hartly, Delaware, went home to be with the Lord  on February 12, 2026. He was born on June 23, 1951, in Dover, Delaware to Lillian Marie Breeding and Leroy Stanley Meisinger.

             Richard served his country in Vietnam with the United States Army.   

Pop was a supervisor at DelDot for 30 years. He was an avid collector of classic cars, lover of all animals, and had a verdant green thumb. He will always be remembered for his smile, laugh, genuine kindness, and magnanimous personality.

            He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Meisinger, Jr.; brother, Edward Meisinger and sister, Patricia States.

            Richard is survived by his wife, Sharon Esposito; granddaughter, Brittany Wilhelm; sister Joann Hollar (William); brother, Roy Meisinger (Regina); sister, Shirley Meisinger; and brother-in-law, Robert Esposito (Peggy); along with 9 nieces and nephews and many, many dear friends.

            There will be a memorial service on Thursday, February 26 at 5:00 pm in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, Delaware.  Friends and family may gather beginning at 4:00 pm.  Private burial will follow at a later date.
