Reginald Michael Bleen, Sr.

It is with great sadness to announce the death of our father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend. Reginald gained his wings on April 3, 2022. 

Reginald; whom is known to everyone as Mike, was born in Wilmington, De to John and Katherine Bleen. He is the oldest brother of 6 other siblings. 

He graduated from John Bassett High; currently known as Smyrna High School and was enlisted in the U.S Army then National Guard. He later retired from Playtex after 13 years. He could not sit still and had to always be moving, so years later he decided to resume work at Campus Community School in Dover, De where the children adored “Mr. Mike”. 

Later on in life he had 6 beautiful children; Reginald “Little Mike”, Monica, Torian, Sharonda, Laronda and Michael. 

“Mike” was known for his love for the Philadelphia Eagles, lasagna, his sweet tea, his walk; being sharp every time he stepped out, his beautiful hair, the love for Motown music, dancing, his over the top organization and excellent penmanship. “Mike” could be stubborn; however the most gentle and kind; he never wanted anyone to be concerned for him. He would always say “ I’m aite”, “ I’m Mike Bleen”, ahh haaa! 

Reginald is survived by his brothers and sisters; Shelly, Kathy, Donna, Kim, Terry and Ricky Bleen, his children; Monica and Torian Bleen, Sharonda, Laronda and Michael Sayles and an enormous number of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and friends. 

Waiting at heaven’s gate for him; his parents John and Katherine Bleen and his son Reginald “Little Mike” Bleen. 

Funeral Services will be held 12 noon, Saturday, April 16, 2022 in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE; where family and friends may view 2 hours before. Condolences may be sent via: www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
