R. Maria Alexander

R. Maria Alexander, 70, passed away on June 26, 2025. She was born in Milford, Delaware, to the late Harold and Hazel Cohee, and was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, William F. “Duke” Alexander.

Maria passed peacefully under the loving care of her sister, Carol Lynn.

Maria was a lifelong member of the Willow Run Rurinettes. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and watching the Food Network, Hallmark Channel, and home improvement shows. She had a deep love for animals and over the years welcomed many dogs into her heart and home, treating each one like family.

She leaves behind cherished memories with her children, William C. “Duke” Alexander and Stacey Bandish (Jason); her grandchildren, Taylor Alexander (fiancée Carman), Ashlyn Alexander, and Lincoln Bandish; her great-grandson, Braxton Daniels; her sisters, Sharon Holloway and Carol Lynn Sapp (Bob); along with extended family and friends.

A funeral service for Maria will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery.
