Philip E Schutz

 Philip E. Schutz went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by those he loved on November 17, 2018.  He was 78.  Mr. Schutz was born on June 8, 1940 in Jasper, Indiana; the son of Edwin and Loretta Schutz.

Philip dedicated 30 years of his life to his country by serving in and retiring from the Air Force where he was a Loadmaster.  His hobbies included fishing, hunting, woodworking and spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years Barbara; children, Donald (Linda) Nix of Dover, Ronald Nix of Dover and Anna (Jim) Parks of Newark.  He will be missed by his grandchildren, Marshall & James Parks, Kenneth Nix and Jackie Torrez, and his siblings, Tanna (Gary) Kreigh of Alabama, Dennis (Joan) Schutz of Indiana, Joe (Linda)Gerber of Indiana, Sheila (Max) Hollinden of Illinois and Sandy Gerber of Indiana, extended family, friends and airmen.

Memorial Gathering Friday, November 30, 2018 from 10 am until time of service 11 am at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE.  Interment with military honors to follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, DE .   Memorials may be made to Hospice of Delaware.  Share a memory at www.pippinfuneralhome.com
