Peter Kevin Gregg, 71, of Dover, Delaware, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of service, integrity, and kindness.
Born to Patricia Glowka and Charles S. Gregg, Peter grew up in a large and loving family in Ridgewood, New Jersey.
He is survived by his sisters, Dorothy Mercier and Catherine Weisnicht, and his brothers, Paul L. Gregg, James B. Gregg, Thaddeus B. Gregg, stepsister, Toni Ann Blair, and stepmother, Margaret Palmer.
Peter was a devoted uncle to 11 nieces and nephews, in addition to six unique grand-nieces and grand-nephews, all of whom he loved beyond words.
Peter was predeceased by his older brother, John F. Gregg, his parents, and his stepfather, Edmund Glowka, in addition to his grand nephew Owen.
Peter proudly served his country as a United States Air Force Master Sergeant (E-7), retiring after 22 years of honorable service.
His dedication to history and heritage was evident by his membership with the Sons of the American Revolution and his role as a former Chieftain of the American Clan Gregor Society.
Beyond some of his many accomplishments, Peter will be remembered most for his character.
He was a kind, honest, and humble man who always kept his promises, treated others with respect, and offered a helping hand to others without expecting anything in return.
He lived by the principle of doing what was right, no matter how difficult. His love of baseball, especially his devotion to the New York Mets, brought him great joy throughout his life.
Peter’s life was a testament to integrity, loyalty, and compassion. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, January 19th at The Church of Holy Cross (631 S State St Dover DE 19901) at 10:30am.
