Penny Lin Wahlfeldt, of Dover, passed away peacefully in her home, Tuesday, March 16, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was 82.
Penny was born July 28, 1938 in Taipei, Taiwan to the late Tze Kuei Lin & Shih Mei Lin Wang.
She had worked for 36 years as a line supervisor for Playtex before retiring. In her free time Penny enjoyed going to bingo, traveling, shopping, eating good food, and doing Japanese Bunka.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allan Wahlfeldt, who passed in 2001.
Penny is survived by 3 children, Asuiet Lin, & her husband, Koditong, of Tapei; Mickey Lin & husband, John Rodriguez, of Williamsburg, Virginia; and Carol Lin Smith & husband, Brian, of Camden. Her siblings, ShuBe, ShuFune, ChouYoung, ShueYoung, BeHun, and NeiNei; 4 grandchildren, Jeffrey Okon, Shawn Smith, Elizabeth Smith, and Cullin Smith; and 3 great-grandchildren, Jessica Delany, Jeffrey Okon, Jr., and Lena Okon.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt Thank You to the entire Delaware Hospice Team, with a special shout out to Penny’s C.N.A. Shawn Fletcher, for the special care and compassion that was shown to them in their time of need.
A Viewing of Family and Friends will be held from 6-8pm, Tuesday, March 23, 2021, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE, adhering to the current Covid-19 restrictions of mask wearing, social distancing, and 50 people maximum at a time.
