Pearl Dorothy Hurley, of Magnolia, passed away peacefully in her home, Friday, September 10, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was 99.
Pearl was born December 28, 1921 in Brooklyn, N.Y. to the late, Matthew & Rosa(Mostrom)
Osmund. Pearl was a woman of many talents. She loved to cook, do needlepoint, crocheting, and sewing; making costumes for the kids when they were younger. She also would make Christmas Ornaments out of felt. Pearl also loved collecting dishes and porcelain dolls; and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth F. Hurley, her daughter Carol Pindell & her husband, Stuart; and her siblings,Dagmar Steckner, Roy Osmund, and Mildred Fuhr.
Pearl is survived by 2 sons, Robin C. Hurley & wife, Karen, with whom she resided; and Timothy W. Hurley & wife , Ann, of Shirley, N.Y.; 4 grandchildren, Kimberly Manning & husband, Robert, of Scotsdale, Arizona; Richard Pindell & wife Jane, of Exeter, New Hampshire; Amanda Yacobellis & husband, Matthew, of Norfolk, VA. and Christine Kolinek, of Coram, N.Y.; 6 great-grandchildren, Kayla DeVault & husband, Aaron; Jessica Manning, Carolyn Manning, Shaylin Yacobellis, Cora Yacobellis, and James Kolinek; and 3 great-great-grandchildren, Elijah, Carter, and Eberly DeVault.
Funeral Services will be held 4:00pm, Sunday, September 12, 2021, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc. , 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave. Wyoming, DE; where family and friends may view from 2-4 pm. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family on Long Island, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
