Paul James Govoni

   Paul James Govoni 59, of Hartly, De passed away suddenly at his home on January 1,2023. He was born in Plymouth, Massachusetts on May 26,1963 to the late Paula Louis Harvey-Govoni who was born April 16,1946 and Paul Henry Govoni who was born March 19,1939 and passed March 15,2008. 

   Growing up Paul loved working on cars, older cars especially with his father. You could find him outside in the garage or at a car show or car auction. His two favorite cars were his 1971 Hearse and his 1959 Edsel station wagon that will stay in the family. He loved working at Newark recycling/double diamond recycling because he got first dips on all car parts and everything else. He was a quiet person, very sweet and caring. 

   He is survived by his daughter Carissa Pedro of PA; his sister Paula M Govoni-Walker and his brother-in-law James E Walker of Hartly; his niece Priscilla Webb of Hartly; his nephew William Govoni of Hartly; his nephew and niece Everett Webb and Lisa Webb of Hartly; his nephew Ricky Thompson of Marydel and his nephew and niece Dylan Wooten and Jamie Wooten of Everson,Washington and his many great nephews and nieces. There will not be a service but a family gathering to celebrate his life. The family does not wish to have flowers instead a donation to Brandywine SPCA.
