Patricia Ann (Shane) Severe

    Patricia Ann Severe, of Camden, passed away peacefully in her home, Friday, April 30, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was 69.

    Pat was born October 11, 1951 in Dover to the late, Roy & Elizabeth(Unruh) Shane. She was employed  as an administrative assistant to the superintendent in the Kent County Maryland Public School System, and had also served as secretary for the Halethorpe Elementary School in Baltimore County. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Arbutus, Maryland, and loved to sing, and enjoy music. Pat had a beautiful smile, she was caring, gracious, funny, a fabulous mom & mom-mom, and an “old hippie”.

    Pat is survived by her husband of 38 years, Edward Reese Severe; 2 children, Gregory Troy Bell & wife, Amy, of Baltimore and Katie Elisabeth Bell, of Camden; 5 grandchildren, Logan Carter, Sydney Moses, Xander Bell, Nathan Bell, and Audrey Bell; her siblings, Earl Shane, of Smyrna, Shirley Alexander, of Golt, Maryland; Janet Council & husband, James,of Dover; Joyce Spencer, of Highland, Texas; Jean Scott, of Milford, and Kenny Shane & wife, Ruth Ellen,of Smyrna; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care of Delaware, LLC, 220 Continental Drive, suite 407, Newark, DE 19713 or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital Memorial Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.   A Celebration of Life will be held at the family’s convenience.
